Wall Maps of Northern Michigan

Wall Maps make up our premier product line. Each map is printed on a giclee printer using premium quality paper stock—the same technology used to produce limited edition art prints—which creates a stunning visual image. They are designed to be handsome wall furnishings as well as informative maps. All our wall maps are available in loose prints, laminated, mounted, or mounted and framed.

Regional Wall Maps

Fully featured reference maps that include a full complement of topographic features for both general interest and recreational tourism, including trails. These maps include an alphabetical index of road and village names coded to a grid for easy location. Two different backgrounds are offered: physical relief and public land ownership.

County Wall Maps

Like the Regional Wall Maps, the County series include a full complement of features, except in enlarged detail. All County Wall Maps depict a colorful relief background that creates a particularly striking image for interior design and provides opportunities for study of geology and hydrology.

Specialty Wall Maps

Some areas of northern Michigan generate enough special interest that justify a larger scale wall map than our County Series can provide—especially the region's premier lake areas. These maps have all the great features of our other wall maps with the addition of localized data and information.

Our maps are designed to be handsome wall furnishings as well as useful reference maps. The maps are printed on a premium grade heavy weight (7.2 mil) coated paper with UV-resistant inks, using the same technique as gallery-quality limited edition prints. Each map is checked and signed by the cartographer. Maps with no post-printing treatment are called loose prints.

Laminated prints are coated with a 3 mil satin finish UV-resistant film that greatly improves the print’s durability and can be wiped clean.

Mounted prints are laminated and bonded to a 3/16” foamcore backing for framing. Laminated mounted prints require no glass when framing and greatly reduce the weight of the framed map.

Framed maps are available in our standard moulding, stocked mouldings, or any of over 100 custom styles by special order. Framed maps are laminated, mounted and include dust backing, picture wire and wall hooks—completely ready to hang!
