Advertising on our Paper Maps

Each year, Michigan Maps publishes 12–18 tourist maps in northern Michigan which are free to the public and underwritten by advertising. The maps are excellent advertising mediums for businesses that cater to the recreational tourism of our region. Most of these maps are joint projects with tourism bureaus, chambers of commerce and/or snowmobile councils and they vary in design, circulation and cost. • Michigan Maps cartography is the highest quality product available for northern Michigan and the U.P. Readers tend to save our maps, which give your ad a much longer lifetime than virtually any other paper medium.
• Ad prices on Michigan Maps are an extremely good value by any comparison to other paper mediums—ad size, price per piece, shelf life, etc. Circulations range from 7500 to 35,000 and ad prices begin at $195.
• Our maps are guides as well as maps. Readers use the ads as a resource for planning their travel.

In 2002, we introduced the MichiganMapsOnline.com website and offered advertising slots on the system. The website was an immediate hit and each year receives more and more visitors. And why not, it is one of the most useful websites for travel and reference in northern Michigan.

This year, we've decided to phase out the MichiganMapsOnline advertising, in order to use the system to promote our new line of retail maps. Some advertising will continue to appear on the site, however we are not renewing contracts as they expire.
